drano biodiesel Basics

Biodiesel performs similar to petroleum diesel while benefiting the environment. What is so amazing about this technology is that any type of animal fat or vegetable oil can be used to make biodiesel.

Based on engine testing, using the most stringent emissions testing protocols Biodiesel is available nationwide. All this oil, fat, and grease will need to be processed in a specialized processor which removes any contaminates before it refines the oil into biodiesel fuel.

Biodiesel is defined as mono-alkyl esters of long chain fatty acids derived from vegetable oils or animal fats which conform to specifications for use in diesel engines. In view of the fact that biodiesel does not contain sulphur and aromatics, it burns cleaner leaving very few traces of contaminants. It can be used in compression-ignition, diesel engines with little or no modifications.

While the kits used to make biodiesel can be pricey up front and can cost several thousand dollars for a higher end model it is important to remember that over the life of the processor you will save money as the price of gas continues to rise and you no longer have to join everyone else at the gas pumps. Biodiesel fuel is the answer.
