production of biodiesel with diagrams - BioDiesel Making Basics

Biodiesel is bio-degradable, eco-friendly and a non-poisonous fuel. The dual problem of energy crisis and global warming will badly hurt both developing and developed nations of the world if a viable solution is not found soon enough.

You really only need two things to make biodiesel, a supply of vegetable oil and a biodiesel processor. The esterified oil can be exploited to energize the unmodified diesel engines. Biodiesel also provides considerably fewer combustion emissions when compared to petroleum-based diesel fuel.

Biodiesel prices are expected to decrease as petroleum prices are expected to continue to increase in the world market. There is still a need to improve the processing method and its quality. The main problem with bio-fuels today is the source of the raw materials.

It is only relatively recently that modern day governments have begun to encourage large scale recycling. There is still a lot of work ahead of us to truly replace the fossil fuels with bio fuel.
