biodiesel home kit - BioDiesel Basics

Biiodesial lessens our dependence on foreign oil and so it helps our economy. What is so amazing about this technology is that any type of animal fat or vegetable oil can be used to make biodiesel.

What makes biodiesel also an ideal alternative is that it is biodegradable and non-toxic. The vegetable will need to be run through a biodiesel processor which converts the oil into a fuel that can be used in diesel engines. Another downside could be of more practical concern to the bio-diesel car owner in colder areas.

The biodiesel thus formed can be used to treat customary diesel, if required. Since biodiesel can readily be used in current diesel engines without having to modify them, it has the potential to supplement the use of petroleum-based fuels as a primary energy source to fill up the need of the world's transportation sector. Biodiesel and ethanol are produced from plant oils and from edible crops meaning competition for basic foodstuffs, food or oil.

We live in a world today that has largely grown up in a throw away society without due regard to the consequences of waste. Biodiesel can be used in its pure form or it may also be blended with petroleum diesel.
