biodiesel expansion - Learn About BioDiesel

The dual problem of energy crisis and global warming will badly hurt both developing and developed nations of the world if a viable solution is not found soon enough. One of the alternatives found to have promise is the production of biodiesel.

Biodiesel has been proven to perform similarly to diesel. In the process they discovered that just about any kind of vegetable or animal oil that we use to cook with today can be processed into biodiesel fuel. During the refining of the oil a process is added that extracts all the contaminants from the raw fuel transforming it into an excellent alternative fuel source.

Both the developing and developed nations will be terribly harmed if solution is not found immediately. Fleet vehicles and the public transportation sector stand to benefit from biodiesel in terms of cost and efficiency. The esterified oil can be exploited to energize the unmodified diesel engines.

More information is needed about the potentially destructive elements of first-generation biofuels and the impact they have on the environment. Biodiesel actually has the highest energy balance of any transportation fuel.
